Our smart sensor division develops B-Neo: the next-gen smart sensor system that can measure multiple parameters simultaneously. The captured data are being processed with support of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and made available to the user in conditioned format. As the application areas are versatile, the system can be used in different industries: B-Neo can be integrated in car seats, gaming wear, mattresses, and even seats and sofas of a connected home.

Smart sensors for tomorrow’s world
Intelligent sensors will be increasingly needed, especially in vehicles, but also in many other areas of our life. B-Neo, as an all-new smart sensor system, can measure multiple parameters simultaneously, in different application areas as car seats and haptic gaming wear, as suits, shoes and gloves. Even in the growing sector of health care B-Neo can add value, for example integrated in mattresses of patient’s beds. In line with the trend towards smart living, B-Neo can be integrated in seating furniture, and – supported by IoT and AI – create perfect individual convenience in a connected home.
The extremely flat yet resilient sensors can be directly integrated in flexible materials, allowing a cost-efficient production process. The data collected by the sensors are processed with support of AI and deep learning (DL), and provided to the user via smartphone, smartwatch, or a larger screen. The benefits for the consumer are manifold: the application in car seats allows occupant identification and monitoring, to support automated driving of level 3 and beyond. In sports or gaming, the user receives a range of valuable analyses – including tips to optimize the workout or activity.
